Spring comes to the Cottage Garden!
Lawn Space:
Our new house has a very bright green rectangle of a lawn bordered by lovely old fruit trees. We want some separation but also want to highlight both spaces.
Planning:
We've made a plan... What do we do next?
Design Review:
Can we go over this design? I'd like to make some changes.
Tired Backyard Lawn:
I don't want a backyard that's a tired lawn bordered by overgrown shrubs.
Art in the Garden:
I would like to place some art in the garden that will complement the trees and shrubs without interfering with the plants.
Spirit:
I have a boring sea of old junipers and I want to put in something more interesting that also reflects my spiritual path.
Fountain:
I have an old fountain that doesn't work anymore, plus some posts, in a patio outside my living room window. What can we do? We like the fountain.
Dry Area:
We have an area that has no irrigation although we can hand water it occasionally. It's also shady but hot. What can we do with the space?
Rickety Ramp:
We inherited a rickety old ramp running to the back yard, which was an uninspired extension of the driveway. What can we do in this small space?
Driveway Makeover:
I have to park in the front but want something besides asphalt by my front door. Can I have some flowers? It's my sunniest spot.
Privacy in the City:
I like looking out into my back garden but, since I live in San Francisco, there are buildings all around me. I need something taller and greener than a fence. It would also be nice to have a private place to sit and look at the roses.
What would you like to do with your garden?
